Thelonious Monk, jazz composer, pianist, and “High Priest of Be-bop” died on February 17, 1982

Monk was one of the greatest composers of his time, creating jazz works such as the legendary piece “Round Midnight,” that is the most recorded jazz composition in history. Monk’s legacy is quite remarkable.
